BG002 SINGLE MALT WHISKY

This, our very first whisky, released in September 2014 at 50% ABV, was matured for two years in a 100-litre sherry cask and is unpeated. Considering we had never made whisky before, this inaugural release was a very pleasant surprise and marked the beginning of our whisky-making journey.
50% ABV - 500ml                                                                    
 
A rich amber-gold in colour, it opens with inviting aromas of vanilla cream, followed by wafer biscuit, caramel and delicate hints of mocha. With time in the glass, notes of milk chocolate begin to emerge. The palate is warm and gently spicy, beautifully balanced by flavours of honey lozenges, vanilla and cocoa. It carries a pleasing weight and lingers nicely, finishing with a subtle, mildly fiery warmth.
