In Memory of Frankie - the best little Distillery Dog ever!
Released in August 2022, this special bottling was dedicated to our beloved distillery dog, Frankie, whom we had recently lost. At the time, it was the oldest whisky we had released.
Distilled in October 2016 and bottled in August 2022, this almost six-year-old peated whisky was matured in a 100-litre Apera cask before being bottled at an easy-drinking 49.6% ABV in 500ml bottles.                                                                                                    
Deep golden amber in colour, the nose opens with gentle peat smoke, dried fruits and toffee, followed by hints of orange peel, campfire ash and toasted oak. The palate is rich and warming, with layers of sweet smoke, caramel, raisins and milk chocolate, balanced by soft oak spice and a touch of nuttiness. The finish is long and comforting, with lingering notes of smouldering peat, fruitcake and warming spice.
